Galatians 1:17 "Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before ne; but I went to Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus".
Paul writes this passage about his conversion and his personal education by the Holy Spirit. He says in the next verse that he spent three years in Arabia alone. Many of us have been in our "Arabias" alone to be taught by God. Paul thought he knew it all, was well trained in Jewish law and was ready to fight this Christianity thing. God has another plan for him. Have you ever been dead set on doing something and God stopped you in your tracks? I believe He stops you for two reasons. One is for your best interest. He knows you and your weaknesses and wants to prevent your failures in the flesh. The other reason is for His glory. We must always remember. He is in control and He knows the end from the beginning. We are finite creatures who hardly know anything. God had a lot of teaching to do with Paul. Some of which was "unlearning" what he thought was right. We can be quite headstrong! Sometimes He has to use serious situations to stop us. Listen to His leading and then be smart enough to learn your lessons as you live in Arabia.
