John 1:20 "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world".
We are all pointing others in many directions each day. Parents point their children to school Monday through Friday and hopefully to God on Sunday. Employers point their employees to the work on a daily basis. Hunger points us to the grocery store or the restaurants. Outgrown clothes point us to the store for replacements. Empty tanks point us to the gas station, regardless of the price per gallon! Teachers point their students to facts for learning. Preachers point their parishioners to Jesus for salvation. We have read stories of how pets found a lost owner in a ditch or well. Starts point us to admire the sky. But most importantly, are you pointing people to Christ for forgiveness of their sin? We all must admit that we are sinners. You don't have to teach a child to disobey but to obey. If someone asked you how to know you are going to heaven, can you tell them the way? I don't mean join a church, be baptized but simply turn their hearts to Jesus. Please, point others to Christ. No other source can give peace and hope for the future.
Next, are you pointing them to the right source? Jesus reminded us that He was the only way to heaven. Not by works of righteousness but only as we ask Him to forgive our sins and cleanse our hearts will a soul be saved. No other source of "faith" is good enough for any of us. Only the Lamb of God.
